Subject: [PATCH 0/7] Relicense GPL programs for compatibility with OpenSSL
Date: Tue, 15 Sep 2020 22:54:10 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20200915205417.15484-1-u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> (raw)

Hello,

this series addresses the problem that binaries licensed under plain GPL
and linked to OpenSSL cannot be distributed. To allow this a special
exception by the copyright holders is needed[1].

After some cleanups (Fixes to spdxcheck, Addition of missing licenses
and converting the affected files to SPDX) the last three patches
implement the actual change to the three affected programs.

Best regards
Uwe

[1] There are many different opinions about this topic and I'm not a
lawyer. But I know that software distributed by Debian requires this
and I think it is obvious that this exception does no further harm.
